Flight, Barr & Barr Worcester Porcelain Miniature Vase, circa 1820 A fine and exceptionally crafted Flight, Barr & Barr Worcester porcelain miniature vase, raised on a plinth, decorated on a rich claret ground with reserved painted panels depicting the named views “Flesk Bridge, Killarney, Ireland” and “Kirkham Priory, Yorkshire.” The vase is further embellished with white pearl-beaded decoration, gilded mask handles and finely painted rural scenes to the front and rear of the plinth, depicting rustic male and female figures. The stepped base is ornamented with a delicate trailing ivy gilt border. Standing approximately 7 inches (17.8 cm) high, the vase is presented in excellent condition and demonstrates the remarkable miniature painting, gilding and decorative craftsmanship for which Flight, Barr & Barr Worcester was renowned. A particularly charming and finely executed example, combining picturesque British and Irish views with highly detailed ornamental decoration.
