Of domed circular form with four segmented compartments radiating from a central wine bottle holder, over a reservoir for hot water. Fashioned in the elaborate Regency style with extravagant foliate design. Diam: 18in. exc handles, Height: approx. 13in.
Rolle was a British peer who served as a Member of Parliament in general support of William Pitt the Younger. Rare to find such an elaborate supper dish
