BARR, FLIGHT & BARR WORCESTER PORCELAIN PINK GROUND TEA CUP AND SAUCER CIRCA 1813

The tea cup finely painted with panels of seashells, coral and sea grasses, reserved upon a pink ground within gilt Greek Key borders, the saucer with matching borders & ground and with a central gilt star motif. Impressed crowned monogram and full red script referring to their Royal patronage.
Provenance: Listed in a very rare original
invoice to R.Cosway Esq 11th September 1813. Cosway was the leading portrait miniaturist and one of the most successful artists in Regency England. He enjoyed a long friendship with the Prince of Wales, later King George IV.
