A RARE 18TH CENTURY MAHOGANY PLATE STAND, CIRCA 1790.

The deep galleried circular top with small turned spindles, over four tapering legs terminating in brass caps and castors, united by a shaped oblong platform base. Originally a very useful mobile plate and cutlery carrier for setting and clearing the Georgian tables.
