A LATE 18TH CENTURY CHIPPENDALE PERIOD MAHOGANY DESK, CIRC 1775.

A handsome and practical desk of excellent quality using fine and well figured flame mahogany veneers. The serpentine moulded top over a deep fitted drawer and slide with a swing out inkwell, over the kneehole with recessed cupboard, flanked by three drawers to each side and raised on a moulded plinth base, pleasingly following the serpentine form. Original brass swaneck handles and carrying handles to the sides. Matured to a rich and deep colour.
