Description:
AN OUTSTANDING QUALITY MID 19TH CENTURY ENGLISH OCCASSIONAL TABLE. In the French style of shaped form with characteristic curved lines, ornate mounts and nature inspired motifs. The top with quartered parquetry and exquisite floral marquetry in rosewood and satinwood and framed by a highly detailed shell and scroll ormolu edge. The frieze is adorned with further parquetry, the various directions of the grain creating an eye catching design. Applied scrolling foliate mounts and flower swags correspond to the design on the top. Raised on four square section cabriole legs, their tops adorned with further mounts and terminating in foliate sabots.
