Description:
A FINE 18TH CENTURY PARQUETRY OCCASSIONAL/WORK/WRITING TABLE CIRCA 1780. A very elegant piece with a superb specimen wood inlaid parquetry top, cross banded in rosewood. The rising top opening to reveal an adjustable reading/writing leathered slope and various compartments for pens and ink. Over a shallow frieze with a dummy drawer to the front and corresponding side and rear panels and a slide opening work box, raised on slender square tapering legs with brass caps and castors united by concave stretchers.
