Description:

A FINE REGENCY PERIOD ROSEWOOD SOFA TABLE GEORGE IV CIRCA 1820. A very elegant sofa table epitomising the Regency style. The brass edged oblong top with twin rising flaps enhanced with a brass stringing design, over the frieze with two long through drawers with two dummy drawers, all edged with beaded brass work and with original gilded brass knobs with star backplates. Raised on twin scroll lyre end supports with brass strings, united by a shaped beaded cross stretcher,  and four swept feet terminating in lovely gilded leaf caps and castors. All of a fine colour and patination.
