AN IMPORTANT 18TH CENTURY SATINWOOD SERPENTINE COMMODE. GEORGE III, CIRCA 1780. An exceptional and very fine example of an elegant late 18th Century serpentine bombe shaped commode, having choice satinwood veneer crossbanded in tulipwood and rosewood, now matured to a rich colour. The quarter veneered and chevron cut serpentine top with a central inlaid oval, over a serpentine front and shaped sides, with three banded drawers, and over a shaped apron and raised on French Hepplewhite style high legs.
