Description:

A VERY FINE 18^TH CENTURY SATINWOOD AND INLAID DEMI-LUNE CARD TABLE. GEORGE III CIRCA 1780.

Of excellent quality the whole cross banded in tulipwood and inlaid with various exotic veneers including rosewood and harewood. The semi-circular hinged top opening to reveal a baized playing surface and inlaid with a central half sunburst and fan with radial harebells and surrounded by scrolling foliate fronds with flower heads; above a frieze with corresponding inlay and raised on four inlaid square and tapering legs with paterae to their tops and terminating in original brass and leather caps and castors. Superb colour and patination.
