A FINE HEPPLEWHITE MAHOGANY DEMI-LUNE CARD TABLE. GEORGE III, CIRCA 1780.
A stunning card table of excellent quality. The box line segmented top with a central shaded satinwood fan inlay and with a wide band of ribbon tied scrolling leaves and berries in satinwood and harewood highlighted with penwork detail & edged with a rosewood crossbanding; over a frieze cross banded in tulipwood with a central inlaid satinwood oval and four ovals of Cuban mahogany, raised on four square and tapering legs veneered in Cuban mahogany and enhanced with box line stringing, and terminating with lovely inlaid satinwood spade feet.
