A RARE ROSEWOOD DRUM WORKTABLE. GEORGE IV, CIRCA 1825
A delightful & small drum table, the circular top over a deep frieze embellished with carved Tudor style roses and rising to reveal a fitted interior.The revolving top raised on a central tapering octagonal support with stylised anthemion carving and leaf collar, and on a triform base with carved scroll feet. A lovely occasional table for beside a sofa or chair complete with a glass of wine…. yet hiding an inner secret.
