AN IMPORTANT CHAMBERLAIN’S WORCESTER CABINET CUP AND SAUCER. Circa 1815-20 Probably painted by Humphrey Chamberlain b1791-1824 

A superb quality piece, exquisitely painted with a classical named scene in vivid colours. “Cleopatra Throwing Herself at the feet of Augustus after the Death of Marc-Anthony” after engravings by Angelica Kauffman. Exceptional gilding including to the interior of the cup. Having a rare manufacturers mark: Manufacturers to their Royal Highnesses, The Prince of Wales & Duke of Cumberland.
