AN IMPORTANT REGENCY PERIOD ROSEWOOD & SATINWOOD INLAID CARD TABLE, OF RARE DESIGN & QUALITY. CIRCA 1825.

The shaped breakfront folding top, triple cross banded with a wide band of satinwood and edged with an intricate fluted inlay, supported on a central turned and fluted gun barrel column and three carved scrolled & fluted swept legs ending in the most wonderful large carved lions paw feet. Unusually the two rear legs act as a double gate movement, swinging out to form a tripod, to support the table top when in use for cards, and swinging back so to provide an elegant table when against a wall.
