A most elegant & beautifully crafted bombe shaped writing desk executed in faded Cuban mahogany with bandings of tulipwood and purple heart.
The top with a single shallow drawer over a cylinder desk, the front rising to reveal a leathered writing surface and a central arrangement of cubby holes for papers, letters etc; flanked on each side by four short graduated drawers, one fitted for ink bottles; and over a shaped long drawer and two shaped short drawers flanking the kneehole. the whole raised on shaped cabriole legs.
