A SUPERB SET OF TWELVE OLD SHEFFIELD PLATE SERVING PLATTERS BY CRESWICK, PORTER STREET, SHEFFIELD. CIRCA 1815.

Each with an engraved armorial and crest for the Heneage family of Hainton, Lincolnshire, and then by descent(Sussex)

Bearing the Latin motto inscription "Toujours Ferme" - Always Firm

Creswick was a well recognised manufacture of quality pieces of Old Sheffield Silver, and these platters are no exception. Each well crafted with an excellent cast border of shells and scrollwork.

Comprising:

Four platters 15" x 11", Four platters 17" x 12"

Four graduated platters: 19.75" x 15", 21" x 15.25", 22.75" x 16", 24.75" x 18"
