Description:

A FINE SHERATON PERIOD BONHEUR DU JOUR. GEORGE III, CIRCA 1800.

A small & attractive piece of superb quality & a lovely colour and patination from this elegant  period of cabinet making. The removable box top section with a rising lid, & two dummy and four small drawers. Over the base writing section with a fold out leathered writing surface, over a single shallow drawer with a side inner drawer for writing implements and inkwells. The whole is raised on four turned & tapering legs united by a cross stretcher and inlaid oval axle. The lid bearing an engraved brass plaque:
