A RARE 18TH CENTURY OLD SHEFFIELD PLATE SILVER COFFEE URN. GEORGE III, CIRCA 1775.
Of Neoclassical design and of a rare and elegant small size. The whole finely chased with floral decoration, with two shaped, reeded loop handles, and with applied oval medallions in the style of JOHN FLAXMAN, depicting a female dancer garlanded with flowers. (Probably depicting Terpsichore, Greek Goddess of dance & chorus) and raised on a square base with four ball feet.
