Description:
A FINE DERBY PORCELAIN VASE. CIRCA 1815.
Of trumpet form with two gilded scrolled leaf mount handles and on a spreading circular foot with foliate gilt decoration and gilt band edge. The body with a large finely painted oval panel within a gilt band, depicting a rural scene with figures in a boat on a river with a cottage & woodland beyond, reserved upon a rich deep blue ground with intricate gilded classical motifs, scrolls and anthemion decoration.
