Description: A fine quality 18th Century Chippendale period satinwood writing slope. George III circa 1775. The lidded top crossbanded in rosewood and with various inlaid woods forming a central oval with paterae surrounded by garland swags and harebells. The slope rising to reveal a writing surface and various compartments.
