Description:

A SUPERB PAIR OF FLIGHT BARR & BARR CLARET GROUND ARMORIAL DESSERT PLATES, CIRCA 1820.

Each having a gilt gadrooned scalloped edge and with a wide band of claret ground surrounding a superbly painted Coat of Arms in full heraldic colours above the motto “Semper Fidelis “ Always Faithfull. Probably the arms of Sir Thomas Walmesley. Impressed crown & monogram mark & full manufactures red script under. Diam: 10.5”
