Description:

A FINE AND RARE PAIR OF MID 19TH CENTURY WALNUT & MARQUETRY PLINTH CUPBOARDS. ENGLISH CIRCA 1850 Of caddy top tapering form with nipped waist plinth bases each with an apposing long door to the front, and enhanced with fine ormolu mounts. Of superb quality, each with fine well figured walnut veneer and cross banded in kingwood, and with superb floral marquetry in various exotic veneers, having a central ormolu edged oval to the door with sprays of flowers under swagged, ribbon tied garlands. Faded over time to the most lovely mellow tones.
