A VERY RARE SET OF FOUR OLD SHEFFIELD PLATE SILVER CANDLESTICKS.

By Boulton & Fothergill, circa 1775. An exceptional and important set of candlesticks, truly rare to find in such untouched and completely original condition. Each with a round fluted sconce over a fluted and leaf capitol, the square tapering stem with trailing harebells capped with swags and four rams heads, over a spreading circular foot on a beaded bordered concave sided base. Height: 12 inches. This design of candlestick is illustrated in a Boulton & Fothergill pattern book in the Sheffield Archives.
