A LATE 18TH CENTURY HEPPLEWHITE PERIOD KIDNEY SHAPED MAHOGANY WRITING/ DRESSING TABLE. GEORGE III, CIRCA 1780.

A fine quality cabinet piece, veneered throughout with superbly figured flame mahogany, the kidney shaped top crossbanded in rosewood with box line stringing, over a single shallow central fitted drawer and flanked each side by four graduated drawers. The sides and back cleverly veneered to follow the drawer design, making this piece freestanding if required. The whole raised on tapering spindle legs.
