Description: An exceptional pair of Old Sheffield Plate wine coolers from the Regency period. A most unusual design with shell & scroll cast borders and marvelous cast shell handles. Another rare feature is the detatchable cast silver grape & vine banding to each of the bodies. Both retain their original liners and are in lovely original condition. Engraved & crested. Made by Robert Gainsford- Sheffield. George IV circa 1825.
