A FINE DERBY PORCELAIN CENTREPIECE, CIRCA 1815-20.

Of shaped dished two handled oblong form raised on a circular foot the wide border richly gilded with an elaborate design of strange mythical creatures and with raised lions head motifs to the corners around a central painted named scene of figures in a landscape. (Near Verona Italy). The underside also decorated with further fantastical creatures.

Red script under: Near Verona Italy, crown crossed batons, dots & "D"
