Wine Cooler

Description: A good Regency wine cooler by Robert Gainford, of campana form with heavy gadroon border, engraved sheild & crest, leaf clasped scroll handles, shaped rosew & raised on a circular spreading foot. The crest & sheild of JOSEPH BONSOR of Polesden Lacey, Surrey & his wife Jane, 2nd daughter of Anthony HARTSHORNE. Both originated from Clarborough, Nottinghamshire, and married March 1796. Polesden Lacey is now a celebrated National Trust property famed for its silver.
