LATE 18TH CENTURY ROSEWOOD & SATINWOOD CARD TABLE, CIRCA 1775-80

Description: A fine late 18th Century semi elliptical rosewood and satinwood inlaid card table. George III, circa 1775-80. The hinged top cross banded in tulipwood & with a central satinwood panel with an inlaid ribbon tied bouquet of flowers, surrounded with delicately trailing ivy leaves and ribbon, over a cross banded panelled frieze with a central satinwood panel with an Adam style swagged urn motif, and raised on four tapering legs with block feet. The whole of an extraordinary quality and now matured to a beautiful colour and patination.
