A fine garniture of Derby porcelain vases of elegant classical urn form, with richly gilded scroll handles. Each vase is beautifully decorated with finely painted panels depicting waterfowl and rural figures, reserved against a deep cobalt-blue ground and enriched with superb gilded neoclassical ornament.

These vases exemplify the refined Regency taste for classical forms combined with naturalistic decoration. The painted scenes display John Hancock Junior's exceptional skill in portraying birds and country life, distinguished by their vitality, delicacy, and meticulous attention to detail.

Each vase bears the red crowned batons mark of the Derby factory.

Heights: 11¾ in (29.8 cm) and 9 in (22.9 cm)
