AN EXCEPTIONAL EARLY 19TH CENTURY BIJOUTERIE TABLE. This lovely satinwood table, designed for displaying objets d’art is English made in the French style. Of shaped cabriole legged form, with an opening bevelled glass lid, three drawers to the front and applied with very fine mercury gilded mounts and profusely inlaid throughout with various motifs in contrasting veneers, including sprays of flowers, musical instruments such as a lute, flute, drum & trumpet. Monkeys and herons also make an appearance, along with a crossed rake and spade and a tied sheaf of wheat. Exceptional quality throughout. Width: 23” Depth: 13” Height: 28”
