Description:
A RARE CHAMBERLAIN’S WORCESTER BOUGH OR BULB POT, CIRCA 1795-1800.
Of flat backed “D” shape and with a pierced domed cover with a loop gilt handle with applied flowers & leaves. Finely painted en grisaille with named views of “Charing Cross”, “Danson Hill Kent” and “Erthig Denbighshire”, within gilt oval panels and reserved upon an orange ground picked out with gilt swags, petals and stars. Raised on three bun feet. Makers mark “Chamberlain’s Worcester” in gilt script underneath.
