A RARE EARLY 19TH CENTURY FLUTINA IN ORIGINAL MAHOGANY CASE.
With mother of pearl keys, the rosewood body inlaid with a satinwood floral design with a central basket of fruit and geometric inlaidborders corresponding to the original carry case which is in a beautifully figured mahogany with a large swan neck brass handle. The flutina is in superb condition with the brightly coloured interior retaining air good pressure. to produce musical notes.
The Flutina is an early precursor to the diatonic button accordian, having one or two rows of treble buttons, which are configured to have the tonic of the scale on the "draw" of the bellows.
