A FRENCH HEPPLEWHITE PERIOD HAREWOOD SECRETAIRE CHEST. GEORGE III, CIRCA 1785.
A fine quality chest veneered overall in harewood and cross banded in mahogany. The top two dummy drawers forming a fall front to reveal a leathered writing surface and an arrangement of drawers (inlaid with satinwood) and pigeon holes, and above three graduated drawers over a shaped apron and elegantly high splay legs.
