A REGENCY PERIOD MAHOGANY SOFA TABLE OF SMALL PROPORTIONS. GEORGE III, CIRCA 1815.
The shaped oblong twin flap top with a wide cross band in rosewood, over a reeded edge frieze with two drawers and two dummy drawers all with stylised ebonised motifs & retaining their original cast gilded thistle motif handles; raised on twin end supports united by a high cross stretcher and with four swept legs inlaid with arrow motifs and terminating in gilded brass hairy lions paw feet. The whole of a delightfully mellow faded colour.
