BARR FLIGHT & BARR WORCESTER VASE, CIRCA 1807-1813

A fine Worcester vase of classic form with the most superb gilded shell and dolphin handles. Decorated with gilded geometric and neoclassical ornament on a pale salmon ground. The central large reserve is painted with a topographical view of St Vincent’s Rock near Bristol, executed with precision and atmospheric detail. The combination of elegant form, sumptuous gilding, and detailed landscape painting demonstrates their worthiness of Royal patronage. Height: 13 in.
