A VERY FINE HEPPLEWHITE SATINWOOD & ROSEWOOD WRITING TABLE. GEORGE III, CIRCA 1780. A very elegant table, the serpentine fronted top is quarter veneered & inlaid with an rosewood oval with cardinal rosettes. Over a shallow writing slide and dummy drawer and raised on elegantly shaped slender cabriole legs. To the rear there is a rising silk slide and to the right side there is a fitted drawer for inkwells and writing paraphernalia. Dummy drawers to the opposing side and back complete the freestanding attraction of this piece. Height: 28.5” Width: 21.5” Depth: 15.75”
