Description:

A PAIR OF DERBY DESSERT DISHES CIRCA 1815. Each of scalloped oval form edged with a gilt foliate decorative band. Each with a central octagonal gilt cartouche brightly painted in full colour with exotic & domestic birds in landscapes. Reserved on an eau de nil ground. Derby marks of crown, crossed batons, dots & “D” under in red script. 10 inches x 8 inches.
