Description:
A MAGNIFICENT OLD SHEFFIELD PLATE SILVER CENTREPIECE. GEORGE IV, CIRCA 1825.
This is an unusual combination of a candelabra & an epergne. Well modelled with female draped figures representing the Three Graces, holding aloft a central basket with a cut glass epergne bowl. Radiating from the central leaf support are five foliate scroll candle branches. The figures stand upon a triform base raised on three large cast shell & scroll feet.
