AN EARLY PAIR OF QUEEN ANNE PERIOD WALNUT SIDE CHAIRS, CIRCA 1710.
A handsome and interesting pair of early 18th Century walnut side chairs. Of quality construction with beautifully carved scrollwork with interesting carved and inlaid motifs. Each having a scroll carved top rail inlaid with a fruitwood (probably holly) feather or leaf like motif, over a vase shaped back splat cross banded in walnut and again with scroll carving and with a carved roundel with similarly inlaid rose motif, and over a moulded edge drop in pad seat with corresponding motifs to the leg tops. The moulded edge cabriole legs to the front with a tapering inlaid foliate panel over a carved teardrop and following down to the pad feet
