AN EARLY 19TH CENTURY AMBOYNA WOOD BREAKFRONT BOOKCASE. WILLIAM IV CIRCA 1830.
A handsome cabinet piece unusually veneered in its entirety in amboyna wood (a premium West Indian hardwood with a distinctive burr) The central "breakfront" section with two moulded panelled doors inset with brass grills and flanked by single door cupboards of the same, the whole raised on a plinth base. Of a lovely mellow colour & patination.
